What we do
When a tree has outgrown its space - blocking light, overhanging a roof, or casting too much shade - height reduction is the answer. Unlike 'topping' (which is harmful and ugly), proper height reduction is a skilled arboricultural technique that reduces the tree's height while preserving its natural form and long-term health. We reduce to suitable lateral branches that can take over as the new lead, leaving the tree looking natural and balanced.
Crown reduction
Reducing the height and spread of the crown by cutting back to healthy, well-placed lateral branches.
Lateral reduction
Shortening side branches to balance the overall silhouette after the main height reduction.
Re-pollarding
For previously pollarded trees, removing regrowth back to the original pollard points.
