- How much does it cost to plant trees and shrubs?
- Costs vary with the size and number of plants, but as a guide most shrub planting starts from around €200 and specimen trees from around €100 each, supplied and planted. We give a fixed quote before any work begins.
- When is the best time to plant shrubs and trees in Ireland?
- Autumn and early spring are the best seasons here, when the soil is moist and mild. Bare-root and root-balled plants are usually planted between November and March, while container-grown plants can go in at almost any time of year.
- What native plants do you recommend for Irish gardens?
- We often recommend hawthorn and holly for hedging, beech for screens, and native trees such as rowan, birch and hazel. They suit our climate and support local wildlife.
- Will you guarantee the plants survive?
- We plant everything to a high standard and include establishment care, which gives new plants the best possible chance. We also source quality stock from reputable Irish nurseries.
- Can you plant around an existing lawn or patio?
- Yes. We work carefully around existing features, and we can also integrate planting into larger landscaping projects such as patios, paths and lawn renewals.
- How long until a new hedge provides privacy?
- With good planting and aftercare, most native hedging will give meaningful screening within two to three years, and faster with larger plants. We will advise on plant size and spacing to match how quickly you need privacy.
