Frequently asked
- How much does a concrete driveway cost?
- Poured concrete drives generally work out around €55 to €85 per square metre, depending on reinforcement and site conditions. We will give you a fixed quote after surveying the site.
- How long does a concrete drive take to complete?
- Most concrete driveways take 3 to 5 days, with a few extra days for curing before you drive on them. We will confirm the full timeline before we start.
- Why does concrete crack, and can you prevent it?
- Concrete can crack if the base is poor or joints are missing. We prepare the ground properly and cut expansion joints at the right spacing to control movement and keep cracks to a minimum.
- Can concrete be laid in winter?
- We prefer to pour in milder, drier conditions, and we generally schedule concrete work between spring and autumn. If we do pour in cooler weather we use the right mix and protection for the conditions.
- Do I need planning permission for a concrete drive?
- Most driveways on existing hardstanding do not need permission, but larger areas or changes to drainage may. We can advise on what applies before we begin.
- Can you resurface my old, cracked concrete yard?
- Yes, if the existing slab is sound we can repair or overlay it rather than breaking it out. We will assess the yard and recommend the most cost-effective option.
