- How much does a resin driveway cost?
- Resin driveways generally cost between €80 and €120 per square metre installed, depending on the aggregate and the condition of the existing base. We will give you a fixed quote after surveying your site.
- How long does a resin driveway take to install?
- Most resin driveways are laid in 3 to 5 days including preparation, and the surface is ready to walk on within 24 hours of the final layer. Vehicles can usually use it after a couple of days.
- What does resin bound mean?
- Resin bound means the aggregate is mixed with resin and trowelled flat, giving a smooth, permeable surface. It is different from resin bonded, which is a thin layer spread over an existing surface.
- Does a resin driveway need planning permission?
- A permeable resin-bound drive on an existing hard surface normally does not need permission, and it can even help with SuDS drainage requirements. We can advise on the rules for your area before we start.
- How do I maintain a resin driveway?
- Very little is needed - an occasional brush and a wash down with soapy water keeps it looking its best. Avoid strong jet washing too close to the surface and keep weed killer and chemicals off it.
- Can you lay resin over my existing tarmac or concrete drive?
- Yes, if the existing surface is sound and well drained we can overlay it with resin-bound paving, which saves time and money. We will check the base during the survey and tell you honestly if it is suitable.
